Returns Policy

We take great pride in crafting unique, handmade pieces and are committed to ensuring that you receive your order in excellent condition. Please read our returns policy carefully to understand the conditions under which we accept returns and issue refunds.
  1. Your Right to Cancel and Return Products
1.1 Cancellation and Return Period
  • You have the right to cancel your order and return the products within 14 days of the day you receive them. The 14-day period starts from the day after you receive the products. This excludes any custom made jewellery made to your specific, personalised requirements.
1.2 How to Cancel and Return Your Order
  • To cancel your order, please notify us in writing via email at amy@theberkshireclayco.com within the 14-day period. You must include your order number in your email.
  • Once you have notified us of your cancellation, please return the products to us without undue delay and no later than 14 days from the day on which you communicate your cancellation. We will provide you with our return address once we have acknowledged your request to return your order to us.
  • The cost of returning the products will be at your own expense unless the products are faulty or damaged. 
Important: Items returned without prior authorization or outside of the 14 day window may not be accepted.
1.3 Condition of Returned Products
  • Products must be returned in their original condition, unused, and in the original packaging where possible. You are responsible for any diminished value of the products resulting from handling them beyond what is necessary to establish their nature, characteristics, and functioning.
1.4 Refunds
  • Once we receive the returned products, we will process your refund within 14 days. Refunds will include the original cost of the products and the standard delivery charge.
  • If the returned products show signs of use or damage, we reserve the right to deduct an amount from your refund to cover the diminished value of the products.
  1. Returns for Faulty or Damaged Products
2.1 Your Rights
  • If the products you receive are faulty, damaged, or not as described, you have the right to return them within 30 days of receipt for a full refund or exchange.
  • After 30 days, if the products develop a fault, you may still be entitled to a repair, replacement, or partial refund.
2.2 Inspection and Immediate Notification
Please inspect your items as soon as you receive them. If you discover any issues, notify us immediately to allow us to address the problem quickly. Delays in reporting issues may hinder our ability to process your return effectively.
2.3 How to Return Faulty or Damaged Products
  • Please contact us at amy@theberkshireclayco.com as soon as you discover the fault or damage. We may request clear photographic evidence or further information to assess the issue. You must include your order number in your email.
  • We will arrange for the return of the faulty or damaged products at no cost to you.
2.4 Refunds for Faulty or Damaged Products
  • Upon receiving and verifying the faulty or damaged products, we will issue a full refund, including the original delivery charge, within 14 days. If you choose to exchange the product, we will send the replacement at no additional cost. This applies to returns within the 30 day window. 
  • If your return falls outside of the 30 day window, we will arrange the repair, replacement, or partial refund within 14 days.
Please note that the time it takes for your bank or payment provider to complete the refund process may vary, so please allow additional time for the refund to reflect in your account.
3. Care Instructions and Misuse
To maintain the quality and longevity of your jewellery, please adhere to the care instructions provided with your purchase and listed on our website. We are not liable for any damage resulting from misuse, including:
  • Exposure to Chemicals: Such as perfumes, deodorants, hairsprays.
  • Contact with Water: Items should be kept dry.
Note: Jewellery damaged by misuse or exposure to the above elements will not be eligible for a refund.
4. Metal Reactions
Our earrings typically feature components made of 925 Sterling Silver or Gold Vermeil. Some pieces may include other metal parts. We are not responsible for any allergic reactions or sensitivities to the metals used in our jewellery. For specific metal information, please check the individual product listings.
Securing of Earring Posts: We use UV Resin to secure earring posts, enhancing their durability.
5. Handmade Nature of Products
Each piece of jewellery is handcrafted, which means that there may be natural imperfections, slight variations in shape, colour, and design. These unique characteristics are part of the charm of handmade items and do not qualify as damaged or faulty.
